I need my website to be searchable! - the SEO way

My website is not searchable!. Blame the developer, ask a SEO expert's advice for FREE. Or just get somebody to reinforce your belief that your website development provider is not good enough for the job.

Remember that SEO is not a standardized procedure that one expert's advice will work for others especially if the advice is free.  Most and foremost is the content, the expert's fee, and how much is the website owner willing to invest for a SEO service. Another option is for the website owner to just study the SEO processes and perform the task of optimizing his/her website alone -- .good luck on a do-it-yourself approach.

We can basically identify SEO services into 3 categories; namely Basic, Medium, and Full service. But even with this 3 categories, every processes from each category can be vague because of lack of standardization.

For people wanting their website to be more searchable:
- Make sure to know how far you are willing to go to be more searchable (exposure).
- Their are no shortcuts if you want a long term results. More searchable means better content, understanding how your market interact with the web (search patterns), consistent monitoring of your market changes and applying to your website.
- Pay your SEO expert according to the service you want. Paying below the service required will result to a downgraded processes for your website's optimization. Like it or not, SEO work is man hours spent and we all have to earn a living.
- A SEO expert is not a god of website optimization. It's always a learning process wherein your inputs will be a valuable contribution.
- Inputs on optimizing your website on all corners and angles from third party experts will just add to the confusion if the pros and cons are not known.
- SEO  is a field of expertise that can be separate from website development. If you have a website, then hire a SEO expert to optimize.
- Always remember, A free advice from a SEO expert may it be a friend or a family member is not a clear commitment to be responsible to the end result.

The bottom line here is that. If you are not ready to pay a good SEO expert, you might as well  work things out with your website development provider in a progressive manner. Your website development provider might be good at doing SEO work for the right price or you just need a SEO expert to advice your website development provider.

Thank you.
